Free calendar event QR code generator
A calendar event QR code holds an event's title, start and end time, location and description. On iPhone, the Camera app offers to add it to Calendar. On Android, support depends on the camera app, and Google Lens recognizes it. The event is written into the code itself, so there is no link to expire.
Free, no signup. Made in your browser and never expires.
How to make one
- Open Forever QR and choose Event.
- Enter a title, start time and end time, or switch on All day.
- Add a location and a short description.
- Download the code and add it to your invitation or flyer.
What's inside an event QR code
BEGIN:VEVENT
SUMMARY:Fall Open House
DTSTART:20261105T180000
DTEND:20261105T200000
LOCATION:200 W Magnolia Blvd\, Burbank\, CA
END:VEVENTTimes are saved without a time zone, so the event appears at the same clock time on the scanner's phone. For an in-person event that is what you want. For an online event with guests in other time zones, put the time zone in the title or description.
Tips
- Keep the description short. Long text makes the code dense.
- Pair it with a link code to your event page if people also need to register.
Questions
- Will the event update if the time changes?
- No. Make a new code if details change, or link to an event page you can edit.
- Do all phones support event codes?
- iPhones do from the Camera app. On Android it depends on the camera app; Google Lens works.
