Free email QR code generator
An email QR code opens the scanner's mail app with a new message addressed to you, and optionally a subject line and message already written. It uses a standard mailto link, so it works with Apple Mail, Gmail, Outlook and other mail apps. Nothing is sent until the person taps Send.
Free, no signup. Made in your browser and never expires.
How to make one
- Open Forever QR and choose Email.
- Enter the address that should receive the message.
- Add a subject and a starting message if you want every email to arrive in the same format.
- Download the code and print it.
What's inside an email QR code
mailto:hello@example.com?subject=Catering%20quote&body=Hi%2C%20I'd%20like%20a%20quote%20forSpaces and punctuation in the subject and message are encoded so every mail app reads them the same way.
Good uses
- Quote and catering requests, with a subject you can filter on
- Feedback and support at a counter or on packaging
- Event RSVPs and sign-ups
- Requests for a catalog or price list
Questions
- Does scanning send an email automatically?
- No. It opens a draft. The person reviews it and taps Send.
- Can I change the address later?
- No. A static code holds the address you entered. Use an address you plan to keep.
- Does it work without a mail app?
- The phone needs a mail app or account set up. Almost all phones have one.
