Free SMS QR code generator
An SMS QR code opens the scanner's messaging app with your phone number filled in and, if you like, a message already typed, such as JOIN or a vote. The person just taps Send. Forever QR makes the code in your browser, and it never expires because the number and message are written into the code.
Free, no signup. Made in your browser and never expires.
How to make one
- Open Forever QR and choose SMS.
- Enter the number in international format, starting with + and the country code.
- Type the message you want people to send.
- Download, print, and tell people what happens when they text.
What's inside an SMS QR code
SMSTO:+18185550100:JOINPhone cameras on iPhone and Android recognize this format and open a new text message.
Before you run a campaign
Standard messaging rates apply to the sender. In the United States, marketing text messages are subject to consent rules, so check what applies to you before using an SMS code for promotions.
Questions
- Does scanning send the text automatically?
- No. It opens the message so the person can review it and tap Send.
- Why use international format?
- A number with + and the country code works from any phone, including visitors from other countries.
- Can I change the number later?
- No. The number is part of the code. Make a new code if it changes.
